Programs & Activities
Educating youth, building relationships, and promoting positive healthy lifestyles
Programs
We form essential connections to build healthier communities. We value and recognize the specialness
that each neighborhood, each school, each community brings to the whole.
Guiding Good Choices (GGC)
GGC seeks to strengthen and clarify family expectations for behavior, enhance bonding, and teach skills that help youth to resist drug use. Dinner, childcare and workbooks are included in this six-session course. Teens attend two of the sessions. Enrollment is through to Family Education & Support Services.
Project SUCCESS
Project SUCCESS is a research-based program that builds on the findings of other successful prevention programs by using interventions that are effective in reducing risk factors and enhancing protective factors.
Administered through classroom education, individual and group sessions, services include screening, counseling services, and a classroom-based alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs (ATOD) education series provided by a student assistance professional (SAP).
Project SUCCESS counselors use the following intervention strategies: information dissemination, normative and prevention education, problem identification and referral, community based process and environmental approaches.
